Section One - Part C Bougeons! Remember that for the Bougeons! sections, you are to view, listen, then do. Click on the TV. Act out these activities and your comprehension will increase. This would be an excellent activity to come back to and do over again later as well. After you have viewed the presentation, be sure to take the TPR 1C Quiz. You should have practiced the vocabulary many times so that by now you are becoming familiar with what the words mean in French. If you have not, please do go back to Section 1, Part A and do that some more before you go on. Practice the question words and other new vocabulary here. Matchword Writing Practice Activity Imagine you are in a French restaurant and you want to order the following. Tell the waiter in a polite way that is what you want to order. Do you remember the polite form of vouloir? Je voudrais le cassoulet, s'il vous plaît. Je voudrais des crêpes, s'il vous plaît. Je voudrais du fromage, s'il vous plaît. Je voudrais un croque-monsieur, s'il vous plaît. Je voudrais de la bouillaibaisse, s'il vous plaît. Je voudrais des escargots, s'il vous plaît   La Cuisine Typique You may not know what some of the typical foods we are describing are. Here is a brief summary so you can know what the not-so-common dishes are: quiche -- An egg and cheese type pie, many times with vegetables (pictured above). cassoulet -- One of the oldest specialties in southern France--a kind of a soup/casserole with white beans and generally with pork. escargots -- Snails. crêpes -- Very thin pancake-type pastries.   Quand.... Let's review talking about how frequently we do some of the activities we're talking about in this section. Look at the picture and then say how frequently you do that activity--souvent, parfois, plusieurs fois. A possible response is there when you click on the image. Pay attention to where those words go in the sentence. It's different than in English. Je vais parfois au zoo. Je vais très souvent au cirque. Je vais plusieurs fois par semaine au restaurant.
