Le Projet
In this unit, we have learned about a variety of forms of entertainment
enjoyed in the French-speaking world. There are some games and activities
that are very typical of France. In this project, however, you are going
to research the castles in France.
You should have a 200 word essay (in English) and you may want to use the following websites or others. You will need to find a picture of the castle you choose and you will need to write a basic description of the castle in French as a caption. This is in addition to the 200-word essay in English.
You will need to find information about the group of people responsible for building the castle and also some general history of the time period.
There are three deadlines to this project:
Deadline 1: Idea and brainstorming for your research (5 points)
Deadline 2: outline/rough draft (10 points)
Deadline 3: Final research project (20 points)
Go to Projet 3A to turn in your assignment.
This assignment is worth 35 points. Deadline 2 is due now.
Writing Practice Look at the picture and compose a short paragraph about what
each person is going to do or is doing. Use vocabulary from this Unit
as much as you can. When you finish, click on the item to see a possible
response.
Nous
allons au cirque. Nous allons voir les animaux et les acrobates. Nous
allons voir les clowns aussi. Les clowns sont très drôles
et ils font rire les gens. Je ris beaucoup au cirque.
Je vais
au zoo la semaine prochaine. Je vais voir beaucoup d'animaux et je
vais marcher beaucoup. Je vais beaucoup m'amuser au zoo. J'aime aller
au zoo parce que c'est très amusant mais je n'y vais pas très
souvent.
Ma famille
va manger au restaurant le weekend prochain. Il y a de la cuisine
typique française et je ne sais pas si je vais manger du cassoulet
ou du coq au vin. J'aime manger au restaurant. Bon appétit!
Je vais
au théâtre le mois prochain. Je vais voir une pièce
de théâtre. Les acteurs jouent très bien leurs
rôles dans le théâtre. C'est très intéressant
d'aller au théâtre et je sais que je vais rire beaucoup
parce que c'est une comédie.

J'aime beaucoup les spectacles
en France. J'habite à Paris et il y a toujours beaucoup à
faire dans cette ville. Je vais au Centre Pompidou ou je vais aux Champs-Elysées
pour faire des achats ou pour y faire une promenade. Il y a souvent
des concerts ou des pièces de théâtre très
intéressants à voir. Ma famille aime aller aux spectacles.
On aime aller au zoo ou au cirque
quand il fait beau. Si nous n'avons pas beaucoup à faire
chez nous, nous aimons aller au zoo. Les animaux sont très drôles
et j'aime rire avec les singes. La semaine dernière nous sommes
allésº au zoo et c'étaitº très amusant.
Mes parents aiment aller écouter
un orchestre ou une symphonie. Mes parents aiment la musique classique.
Mes frères et moi, nous préférons aller au concerts
de musique populaire et parfois nous pouvons y aller.
C'est aussi amusant d'aller
sur la Seine dans un bâteau mouche. La Seine est une fleuveº
qui traverse la ville de Paris. Avec ma famille, nous avons pris le
bâteau mouche une ou deux fois. J'aime beaucoup admirer la très
belle ville de Paris de la Seine.
