Section Two: Part C Savoir et Connaître We have seen both of these verbs before. Do you remember what they have in common? They both mean "to know." Let's review their forms and talk about their differences again.   savoir--to know je sais nous savons tu sais vous savez on elle il sait ils elles savent   connaître--to know je connais nous connaissons tu connais vous connaissez on elle il connait ils elles connaissons   Do you remember when we use savoir? We use savoir to talk about facts and information that we know. Do you remember when we use connaître? We use connaître to talk about people and places that we know or are familiar with personally. You learned a new song. J'ai su une nouvelle chanson.   Devoir Écrit In this written assignment, think of things, facts, or people you know. Write a paragraph about these. Write at least eight sentences, four of which must be in the passé composé. Ce devoir vaut 12 points. Go on to Part D.
