Section One - Part A Meine Stadt If you meet someone who speaks German, or travel in a German-speaking country, you will need to know things about a city. Let's learn the names of different places in a city. Read and listen to the vocabulary words in the following chart. Jigword 1    Speedword 1 Verben In Unit 3, you learned to change a verb to signifiy that a different person is doing an activity. Try these as a practice activity to review that. Use the verb lernen (to learn).. er lernt ich lerne sie (pl.) lernen du lernst sie (sg.) lernt Stefan und ich lernen ihr lernt es lernt Sie lernen If you were not able to do those with a great deal of ease, you are encouraged to go back to practice this. You can also practice outside of the course at about.german.com.   Watch the presentation to see what you can do in the places you learned above. As you view, try to guess the meanings of the new words. To reinforce these new activities, practice with this activity. Jigword 2. After you have practiced them some, do this little self-check to see if you know what the new words mean. The verbs will be given in their infinitive (to + action) form.
