Reflexive Verbs
Do you remember the reflexive verbs that we learned earlier in German 2a? Many of these verbs are those we use to talk about things we do in our daily routine-showering, brushing teeth, getting dressed, etc, as you will see in the list below. In reflexive verbs, the pronoun following the verb "reflects" the subject-the person or thing that is performing the action, (e.g. I wash myself.)

These are verbs that, although they do not seem to be "reflexive" in English, must be used reflexively in German. Review these reflexive verbs and then do the activities that follow to make sure that you know how to use these very common verbs in German.

sich hinlegen
sich amüsieren
sich anziehen
sich hinsetzen
sich duschen
sich waschen
sich die Haare bürsten
sich die Haare kämmen.
sich baden
sich schminken

presentation Los geht's!

In this section of each unit, you are going to view a presentation and then you will hear instructions given to you that you should do. Science has proven that the more of your senses that are engaged in an activity, the more learning takes place. Doing these activities as you are asked to do will help you to internalize the meanings of the words and will also sharpen your listening skills. So, listen and then do what you are asked to do. The exercises may seem repetitive, but remember....repetition is the key. When you finish with this presentation, be sure to take the TPR 1D Quiz.

Now go on to Part E.
