Section Three - Part A
Inside the Charlottenburg Palace is the Bernsteinzimmer (amber room), a room with its wall panels completely covered in exquisite amber mosaic, and was described as "the eighth wonder of the world." It was designed by the architect and builder Andreas Schlüter. Charlottenburg Palace has been used to house the President, while Bellevue Palace was being renovated. It is currently a museum of art and history. Willkommen! You are doing so well! You should be remembering to repeat German as much as you can when you hear German in the course and it is also imperative that you spend time outside of class studying your German. Before we get going very far, see how well you're doing on this Unit's vocabulary. The following flash card activities will help you learn your vocabulary. In Unit Six, you are going to prepare a project about your own home. You will describe in detail at least five rooms in your house in a photo essay. You will write at least six sentences about each room that you describe and you need to include a picture--this does not have to be a picture of your actual home but it should be representative of your written description. Keep in mind the following when you are doing this project:
