Schriftliche Übung
As we begin to wind down the unit, let's see how we are doing. Answer the questions in complete sentences in German and then click on each one to see a sample correct answer. Your answers may vary some. If you have problems in some of these, you will want to go back through the unit to find that section to get some additional practice.
Mehr verwandte Wörter
We have been learning about words that are known as cognates. These are words that look similar in two languages and share the same meaning.
The cognates we are going to learn in this unit end in -ieren in German. Sometimes these words end in -ate or -fy in English, but they are nearly always easy to guess. Look at the examples.
Now tell what these verbs mean.Click on the German to make sure you're correct.
Discussion Assignment
Go to the discussion area and submit a posting asking at least four questions using this unit's vocabulary, talking about sports and activities in German. While you are there, take time to respond to two posts by some other student. If there are no other posts at this point, visit the area later to respond to two questions. Diese Aufgabe hat 16 Punkte.
