Introduction Willkommen! Das Thema für Lektion 8 ist "Das Essen" Farmers markets are interesting places to learn about the foods that are eaten in another country. Often people go to get fresh foods on a daily basis if they can, because they prefer them to frozen or canned foods. The market is a colorful place where you can see a great deal of diversity represented. You'll probably see foods we don't even eat in the United States, and the Marktfrauen will probably NOT speak English. Lektion 8 In Unit Eight we are going to learn to talk about mealtimes and foods. There will be a lot of vocabulary, but not much grammar. Just remember that fluency in any foreign language does not happen over night; but the more you practice and seek ways to use your new skills the quicker that fluency will come. As you work, keep in mind the symbols that will help you to remember what it is you are going to be doing throughout the course. If you have forgotten those, you can look back at them to keep them in mind. Unit Activities Section 1, Part B, Discussion Assignment: 12 points Keep in mind that during the course of this unit, Das Essen, you should spend time doing the following daily: Vocabulary activities and drilling vocabulary (flashcards), at least 15 minutes daily. At this point you should have developed some tool to help yourself learn German when you are not online working. You should either take notes to study later or make lists of vocabulary that you can study or even teach someone else. |
