Section One - Part E Répondre et Apprendre We learned -re verbs some time ago. Do you remember these verbs? You learned several of them in French 1a. Here are some you might remember: perdre (to lose) vendre (to sell) attendre (to wait, to wait for) entendre (to hear) rendre visite à (to visit a person) Let's review their conjugation and then we'll talk about apprendre. Listen carefully and repeat after the speaker--this will guarantee you to have good pronunciation in French. répondre--to respond je réponds nous répondons tu réponds vous répondez il elle on répond ils elles répondent   The other verbs that end in -re that are regular (such as the ones mentioned above) change just like this one. Apprendre is like the verb Prendre which you learned in La Cuisine, Unit 8. Do you remember that one? Let's look at the forms of apprendre so you can talk about what you are learning.
