Section Two - Part D Back to School Let's review some verbs that are useful when talking about our school day. Wissen talks about what you know, and the modals let you tell about things you can, must, should, may, want to, or would like to do. Read the paragraph below to see how many of these words you can find. Then we'll review the forms. Remember to write down things like this in your notebook unless you can do them very fast! WordWeb Schriftliche Aufgabe Write one sentence with each of the seven verbs above. Use a different subject pronoun for each sentence and use German that you have learned in this course, and don't forget that modals kick the second verb to the end. Diese Aufgabe hat 16 Punkte. Andere Vokabeln In order to talk about our houses, we might want to say other things about them. You might want to talk about "upstairs" or "downstairs." Dieser Mann geht die Treppe hinunter. These expressions talk about going up or down stairs: die Treppe hinaufgehen nach oben die Treppe hinuntergehen nach unten If you simply want to say that something is "upstairs" or "downstairs," you could simply say "oben" or "unten." Imagine a house has two stories. Say whether these rooms are upstairs or downstairs. A response is given when you click on the question. Wo ist die Küche? Die Küche ist unten.
