Key conceptsHausarbeit machen
There are many things we have to do in our homes. These are called "Hausarbeit" or chores. (Don't confuse this with Hausaufgaben--homework, for school.) Which of these do you have to do at your house? Listen to the speaker and repeat as you learn the names of these activities. Write them down in your notebook so you can begin to study them outside of class. Remember that the more you practice vocabulary, the less frustrating you will find your language class to be.

Dust
Clean House
Take out trash
Vaccuum
Wash clothes
Fold clothes
Make bed
Sweep floor
table
empty table
mowing lawn
closet

And in general, we always have to 'helfen'--help in doing the chores.

And there are several things we have to use to do these chores.

Vaccuum

Broom
Washer

Dryer

Washrag
Dishwasher
lawnmower
tableware
