These are adjectives we use to point out or "demonstrate" where items are located with respect to the speaker. They are called "demonstrative adjectives." Since they are adjectives, they each have four forms. Observe.
We attach "-ci" and "-là" to the end of the noun we are referring to to say "this" or "that".
