These are all ways of accepting an invitation in French. Now, to decline an invitation, you may want to not only decline the invitation but also offer some excuse as to why you are not accepting. Here are some expressions you will want to use.
Do you know what those words mean? See if you can fill in the meanings. Write the chart in your notes so that you have something to study.
Also, in order to extend an invitation, can you think of other expressions that you can say? Try to complete this table with the expressions that you had some time ago.
Practice Activity Au Travail Prepare this assignment for your teacher. Accept the first four invitations and then decline the others. Use an expression from this page in a complete sentence in French you have learned in this course. When you accept an invitation, offer a reason why you accept and when you decline, offer an excuse why you cannot. This assignment is worth 24 points.
