Key conceptsEst-ce que tu es un bon joueur?
Let's talk about different players. Some are good and some are not so good, right? In order to say that someone is a "good" player, we will use the adjective bon, which we learned a long time ago. Remember that certain adjectives in French will come before the noun, though most do come after. Do you remember which ones come before the noun? Remember:

Beauty beau/belle; joli/jolie
Age jeune; vieux/vieille; nouveau/nouvelle
Goodness gentil/gentille; mauvais/mauvaise; bon/bonne
Size gros/grosse; petit/petite; grand/grande; long/longue

Those adjectives--those having to do with Beauty, Age, Goodness and Size--will come before the nouns in French. So, when we talk about being a good or bad joueur / joueuse, we will put the adjective in front of the noun.

C'est un bon joueur. C'est une bonne joueuse.

C'est un mauvais joueur. C'est une mauvaise joueuse.

C'est un bon garçon.

C'est un mauvais garçon.

C'est une bonne prof.

C'est une mauvaise prof.
