Recording Sound Equipment needed:
Almost all computers come with sound recording software, but it is limited to creating short WAV files. Any of a number of free programs can be downloaded that will create MP3 files of any length. You can also use free software that most computers already have that will convert WAV files to MP3. On windows machines, go to Start>>Programs>>Accessories>>Sound Recorder to see if you have a sound recorder already on your computer. If you do, that sound recorder will create sound files for you but they will be .wav files and will be large files. If you can use a program to save the files as an .mp3 file, it will create a smaller file, thus taking less time to upload for your teacher. The following directions will work for you if your computer is not already equipped to record sound. Working with Sound - PC |
