In this activity, you will practice your written communication skills.

Use a word processor program to create a letter explaining to management a safety issue regarding a safety hazard in the workplace. The letter should not only address the safety hazard, but should also explain a solution to help solve the issue.

Next, assume that management has approved your solution. Now, you will communicate to your fellow worker with an interoffice memorandum.

You should retrieve templates from the software program to help create your documents. To retrieve a template from Word, follow these directions:

The memo should communicate to your co-workers a new procedure regarding safety in the workplace. Use the current date, and check for accuracy with spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Submit your letter to management and the memo to the 5.06 Written Communication Skills Dropbox.
