Usando los imperativos
We will use the imperative (command) form when we need to give an order, express a desire, offer advice, recommend something or make a request, right?

There are a few things you'll need to know:

• Look at these two sentences. How do they differ?

  Toma el autobús para ir al centro.

  Tú tomas el autobús para ir al centro.

  Remember: In the imperative, you are giving an order, a command. So, just like in English, you don't use the subject pronoun (you).

• If you think about it, you're only going to give an order to someone else, or possibly to a group which includes yourself. So, that means that you'll only need to learn the forms for tú, usted, nosotros and ustedes. Basically, the forms are not that much different from the present tense forms. There is, however, a spelling change that you must not neglect to make.

  ¡Toma el autobús! (You) Take the bus!

  ¡Tomemos el autobús! Let's take the bus!

  ¡Tome el autobús! (you formal) Take the bus!

  ¡Tomen el autobús! (You plural) Take the bus!

• Here are the forms for the different types of verbs:

Really, it's pretty easy. There are only some slight spelling changes in the verbs. It is very important to remember what kind of verb you are working with--

• -ar
• -er
• -ir

Once you know that, forming the imperative is very simple. There are some irregular verbs that we will get into later. For now, also remember that verbs might need a slight other spelling change to keep the consonant sound they have in the infinitive:

• jugar--juegue, juguemos, etc.
• tocar--toque, toquen

Selecciona un país hispanohablante que te gustaría visitar. Escribe un ensayo (essay) en español de un posible viaje a ese lugar. Necesitas usar lo que está en este curso especialmente. Incluye en tu papel de 200 palabras:

• fechas para tu viaje
• un itinerario y
• cómo será el clima durante ese tiempo
• qué harás durante tus días allí
• cuánto va a costar
• cómo vas a ganar el dinero.

Este proyecto tiene cuatro fechas indicadas:

1. Fecha 1-Ideas geniales (5 puntos)
2. Fecha 2-Silueta (5 puntos)
3. Fecha 3- Proyecto Preliminar (5 puntos)
4. Fecha 4- Proyecto final (20 puntos)
