test Vorbereitung auf Quiz 3
Hast du das Interview (Seite 3A und 3B) gut verstanden und die kulturellen Informationen (Seite 3C) gut gelernt?

Dann sollst du jetzt Quiz 3 schreiben. Danach komm bitte wieder auf diese Seite zurück, um dich auf das Examen vorzubereiten.

test Vorbereitung auf das Examen
The exam for Unit 10 is a writing exam, a guided essay. You will be asked to talk about the topics we've discussed in this unit. In preparation it would be wise to practice the flashcards once more (1A, 1C, 2A), re-read all of the passages in the unit, and also listen to the Präsentation again.

You will be graded on the overall quality of the essay within the framework of the guide questions. We do NOT expect 100% grammatical accuracy, nor is compositional "style" important, but the errors should not detract from the overall comprehension of your work.

You have been graded throughout this unit using a holistic rubric. For the Exam, the points will be assigned as follows:

97-100:Demonstrates Outstanding Written Expression

  • Response is thorough, detailed, and meets or exceeds the length expected
  • Communication is very clear in spite of a few minor errors.
  • Sentences are varied in structure, complete, and occasionally lengthy.
  • Vocabulary is varied, learned in this course, and context appropriate
80-96:Demonstrates Good to Very Good Written Expression

  • Response is on topic and adequate
  • Errors do not detract from overall communication
  • Sentences are generally complete, varied, and of more than minimal length
  • Vocabulary is level-appropriate and used correctly
61-79:Demonstrates Partial Competence in Written Expression

  • Response is incomplete, only partially on topic, and/or too brief
  • Errors make communication somewhat difficult
  • Sentences are simple, frequently incomplete and/or repetitive
  • Vocabulary is inadequate and reflects few resources
26-60: Demonstrates a Lack of Competence in Written Expression

  • Response is extremely brief and only partially on topic
  • Numerous errors make communication quite difficult
  • Sentences are incomplete and/or structurally confusing
  • Lack of vocabulary and use of Anglicisms impede communication
1-25:Demonstrates Incompetence in Written Expression

  • There is some attempt at German, but it cannot be understood, OR it is obvious that the student is not using language learned in this course (computer translation, help from native speakers).
0:Unacceptable response

  • The response is not in German OR it is completely off topic.
