The
Royal Palace of Bruxelles is the symbol of the constitutional
monarchy of Belgium. This is where the royal family lives and where the
country's administrative decisions are made.

King Albert II is the sixth king of the Belgians. He became king in 1993.
The king does not govern alone. He gives his opinions and works in cooperation
with his ministers. The queen's name is Paola. She is of Italian origin.
She accompanies her husband in all the official functions, but she also
works on projects that are of interest to her.
