Project AssignmentLe Projet
In this Unit, your project is going to be another personal project. You will prepare an essay/photo essay talking about your typical day. You will talk about your school day and the way it is organized, what times you go to classes and in what order, what you do in each course, what items you need, what part of the school you go for to each course. You may include pictures in your essay, but it is not a requirement. You will produce an essay of about 200 words. This project is to be written in French.

  • an essay of about 200 words talking about your school day
  • how your day is organized and what classes you go to, in what order
  • what you do in those courses
  • what part of the school the course is located in
  • what you need in each course
  • what you do after school as part of your home responsibilities
  • where you do these activities (what part of house?)

The project will have four deadlines:

  1. Deadline 1: Idea (5 points)
  2. Deadline 2: Outline (5 points)
  3. Deadline 3: Rough draft (5 points)
  4. Deadline 4: Final project: (25 points)

The third deadline is due now. This assignment is worth 5 points.

We have been learning about words that are known as cognates. These are words that look alike in two languages and share the same meaning.

The cognates we are going to learn in this unit end in -ic in English. Generally, these words just end in -ique in French. Look at the examples.

Discussion AssignmentTable de Communication
Go to the discussion area and submit a posting asking at least four questions using this unit's vocabulary, talking about sports and activities in French. While you are there, take time to respond to two posts by some other student. If there are no other posts at this point, visit the area later to respond to two questions. This assignment is worth 16 points.
