Welcome to Les Couleurs, Unit 5!

Now you can talk about the weather, days, dates, a few activities you like to do in certain places in town. Remember to keep reviewing the vocabulary and structure that we've gone over because learning a language is cumulative. You need what you learned to be clear and readily accessible to build off of it.

In Les Couleurs you will learn:

  1. to describe yourself and others using être and adjectives
  2. to describe things using colors
  3. that adjectives in French have different forms based on gender and number
  4. that most adjectives in French are placed differently than in English
  5. additional people nouns
  6. how to talk about basic things that might be in your school, desk or backpack
  7. how to talk about your school day
  8. about Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast)

As you work, keep in mind the symbols that will help you to remember what it is you are going to be doing throughout the course. If you have forgotten those, you can look back at them to keep them in mind.

  2. Practicing the alphabet or any vocabulary from Units 1, 2 and 3 that you do not feel confident with.
  3. At this point you should have developed some tool to help yourself continue learning French even when you are not online. You should either take notes to study later or make lists of vocabulary that you can study or even teach someone else.
