Lesson 4.01: Evaluating Websites

teacher and studentsNot all web resources are created equal. Web editors such as KompoZer have made it increasingly easy for anyone to create and post a web page. Personal opinions, ideas, theology, and philosophy often make their way onto web pages and represent themselves as authoritative resources. When using the Internet, it is essential you know how to determine the authority of a website and how to evaluate the information presented on the website. In this lesson, you will learn about the criteria for evaluating websites.

 

 

Lesson Objectives

Following successful completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • use common methods of evaluating the credibility and reliability of information found on the World Wide Web.
