Once you have been assigned to a group, go to the 4.01 Introduction and Selection Discussion. Once there,

1. Introduce yourself to your group. Include your name, school, and what times you typically work on your ACCESS class. This will help other group members know when you will be most likely to response to discussions, especially if your school has an unusual schedule.

2. Tell your group which pathogen you would like to research and why.

3. Tell which role you would like to take in the project.

Once everyone has made an initial post, your group needs to come to a consensus on which pathogen you want to research and which role each person wants to fill. If you cannot come to an agreement, your teacher will assign a topic and role to you. You will be graded on your participation in this discussion.

Please note - you should follow all rules of standard English in your discussion - in other words,

• Use correct spelling.
• Capitalize words appropriately.
• Write in complete sentences.
• Avoid text acronyms and emoticons.
