Task

Submit 2.01 Notes Guide that you completed during the lesson to the 2.01 Notes Guide Dropbox.

What are your views on rebellion or protest against the government? Do you feel that Daniel Shays was justified in his call to stop the courts and free those in debt to the government? Why? How do you think that Shays' Rebellion encouraged the idea of a new government in America?

  1. Post your thoughts to the 2.01 Shays' Rebellion Discussion using four to five sentences. Support your answer by including evidence from the lesson about the Battle of Bunker Hill.

  2. Respond in two complete sentences to a classmate whose post you agree with and explain why you agree.

  3. Respond in two complete sentences to a classmate whose post you disagree with and explain why you do not think it would have worked or why another change would have been more effective.

  4. Post all answers to the 2.01 Shays' Rebellion Discussion.

The central government faced many challenges under the Articles of Confederation due to its inability to regulate trade, to impose taxes, or enforce any of the powers that it had been given by the Articles.

In this task, you will use information from the lesson to create a political cartoon that reflects the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation. Follow the steps below to complete the task

  1. Go to Comic Creator. You do not need a login.

  2. Create a title for your cartoon.

  3. Select one pane.

  4. Build your political cartoon

  5. One complete, choose Finish.

  6. Choose Print, but instead of sending it to a printer, save the cartoon as a PDF.

  7. Submit your cartoon to the 2.01 Political Cartoon Dropbox.

  1. Watch the presentation on the Constitutional Convention.

  2. Answer the questions to the right of the video as you watch.

  3. You may pause the video at any time to type in answers.

  4. Complete the document analysis at the end by highlighting, making notes, and answer the question as you analyze each document. You may want to watch the "how to" video on analyzing document as a refresher from the beginning of the unit.

  5. Choose Save, Print, Send and create a PDF.

  6. Save a copy to your computer.

  7. Submit your completed work to 2.01 Constitutional Convention Dropbox.
