Collaborative Project - Step #3

Part 1:

Now, you will begin doing research for your group's presentation. To complete this task, follow these steps:

  1. Use the list of websites that you assembled in Step #2 to start collecting information about your research topics. Use as many of the websites as you think you may need to do a good job on the project.
  2. Save the information you decide to use in a Word document. Use your own words! Be sure to include proper citations in MLA format at the end of the slide. Arrange the information on the document in the order in which you intend it to appear in the final presentation. On the document indicate slide numbers (1, 2, 3, etc...) so the Editor will know where in the presentation to place your information. You should have enough information to complete the number of slides that in Step #2 you pledged to the project.
  3. Be sure to include any images that you need at the appropriate place in your document. See Adding Images to learn how to copy images from the World Wide Web.
  4. Submit the document to 8.03 Specialized Research Discussion. You should reply only to this thread. Do not start a new thread by creating an original post.

You should use this discussion to provide constructive feedback to other group members. Read each of your other group members' research. Point out any spelling or grammatical errors. Check to make sure that they included all citations. Include at least two things that you think your group member did very well in the first draft as well as at least two things you think they could improve or correct. Think of this as your opportunity to help that person get an A. Your group members will be helping you as well.

Part 2:

When the other group members finish providing feedback to your research, you should revise it, then repost it to 8.03 Specialized Research Discussion.

Your grade for this task will be determined by both the quality of your research and the quality of the comments you make to the discussion.
