Tasks

Using your definitions, write your own tragedy. It can be as short as a paragraph, but it should tell a story of a tragic hero who serves as the protagonist of the story. There must be an antagonist who plays on the protagonist’s tragic flaw.

In your “tragedy," highlight and label

  • the name of your tragic hero,
  • his/her tragic flaw,
  • the antagonist,
  • the demonstration of hubris,
  • the catastrophe, and
  • evidence of the catharsis.

Submit your tragedy to the 6.05 Your Tragedy Dropbox.
