After you have chosen one person from the list above, you will write a biographyA biography is a detailed description of a person's life. of their life.
Once you chose your biography subject, begin compiling notes that you will use in your biography.
Use the biography planning worksheet to help you organize your notes. Open the attached worksheet and use internet resources to identify the many unique details about your chosen person.

Now that you have thoroughly researched your biography subject, you can use the outline below to write your biography.
- First Paragraph: Introduction – Write a 3-4 sentence introduction giving some basic facts about the person you have chosen.
- Second Paragraph: Early Life – Write 4-5 sentences describing their early life up to the teenage years.
- Third Paragraph: Career – Write 4-5 sentences about their accomplishments during their career including the one thing they are most remembered for.
- Fourth Paragraph: Later Life – Write 3-4 sentences telling how this person spent his last years and give details of this person's death.
- Fifth Paragraph: Closing – Write 3-4 sentences that summarize the impact this famous person had on the society around them telling why they are famous still today.
After you have completed your biography, proofread it by using the following simple checklist:
- Have you checked the spelling of your words?
- Did you indent at the beginning of each paragraph?
- Do you begin each sentence with a capital letter and end each sentence with an end punctuation mark?
- Have you capitalized special words such as places, titles, and paintings?
- Do your subjects and verbs agree?
- Have you used any sentence fragments or run on sentences?
Once you have proofread your paper, submit it to the 7.01 Biography Dropbox.
