Introduction
In this unit, we will board our plane and head back to the mainland for a trip to a very different and historical city. Boston, Massachusetts is one of the older cities in our nation with a rich and diverse history. Many pivotal events of the American Revolution occurred in the city of Boston including the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party and the Battle of Bunker Hill. Boston is also the location of many of America's 'firsts' including home to the first public school, home to the first university (Harvard), home to the first subway and home to the first public park.
There are many famous historical people who called Boston home. Today, we are going to research some of these famous citizens of this important town.
Paul Revere, Benjamin Franklin, Louisa May Alcott, and many other prominent figures in United States history lived in the city of Boston.
Open 'Famous Bostonians' and try and match the person with their description. You are encouraged to use internet resources to try and make a correct match on each question.
Submit the completed worksheet to the 7.01 Famous Bostonians Dropbox.
