Are you a moody person? How would you know unless your parents or friends told you? There is such a thing called a mood ring that was a big hit in the 1970s. The center stone changes colors depending on your mood. To learn how the mood ring works, read "How do mood rings work?" from How Stuff Works.

The colors below symbolize the moods.

  • Black: fear, depressed, serious, intense

  • Yellow: anxious, cool, cautious, distracted

  • Orange: stressed, nervous, confused, upset

  • Blue: normal, optimistic, calm, peaceful

  • Pink: very happy, affectionate, infatuated

  • Green: average, not much happening

  • Red: fear, danger, energetic
