Introduction

Imagine that you are interviewing for SGA at your school. The principal and sponsor, as well as the Student Government President, are conducting the sessions. The interview goes somewhat like the one below.

Can you see the errors? Sometimes your ear can be trained to pick up on inaccuracies in subject and verb agreement; however, there are many ways that subjects and verbs can disagree, so be aware of the traps.

Subject-verb agreement is just as important in writing so that you can communicate clearly with your audience.
