Connaître
We learned about connaître some time ago. Connaître
means "to know" when you are talking about knowing people
or places. The verb means "to be familiar with" which must be
on a personal level. So, after you have been to a place, you can say that
you "know" or don't know that place using connaître.
Practice this here:
You will remember that the other verb that means "to know"
as in to know facts and information is savoir.

Une personne qui conduit est un chauffeur. Aux États-Unis, on peut
