QuébecWriting Assignment

In this semester, you are going to prepare a project about a specific topic for each unit. The project will be done in phases throughout the unit with several deadlines in order to help you stay focused and organized. In this unit, your research project is going to be about Québec. You will include the following information about Québec:

  • Québec's province and capital city.
  • Geographical make-up of the area.
  • How many people live there.
  • What the people there do for recreation.
  • What the people do there for a living, in general.
  • Some basics about the current government of Québec.
  • You need to have an essay in English of at least 200 words.
  • You are to find some pictures of either typical or tourist attractions in Québec and make a picture essay complete with captions about what you find. You need to find at least 5 pictures that are representative of different aspects of Québec people or life. You may include one person in your picture essay.

There are four deadlines for the project:

  1. Deadline 1: Your brainstorming and ideas for the project (5 points)
  2. Deadline 2: Your outline (5 points)
  3. Deadline 3: Your rough draft (5 points)
  4. Deadline 4: Final project due. (25 points)
