Bouillaibaisse

One French dish that is said to have originated in the Mediterranean is bouillaibaisse. As you can see from the picture, the dish features many kinds of seafood but the ingredient that makes the dish so tasty to the French is the saffron it has in it.

French cuisine is considered to be some of the best in the world. We will learn in this unit about some of the French favorites as well as explore their customs with regard to mealtimes and eating.
