If you are presently working, get a copy of your paycheck stub. Review all of the deductions on your paycheck. Make a list of all deductions and describe each deduction. Determine the Gross Pay and the Net Pay. If you need assistance, use the internet to find any information pertaining to the deduction.

If you do not have a job or current paycheck stub available, you may use this sample paycheck stub.

A company has offered you a new job, you are presently working for an employer that provides your all health benefits including dental insurance. You are presently earning $10.00 an hour. The new company that wanted to hire you is offering your $14.00 an hour, but no health benefits or dental. Would you take the new job? Why or why not? Could you negotiate with your present employer or your new company?
