Lesson 5.01: Using PowerPoint

PowerPoint is a presentation software that is a part of the Microsoft Office suite. It is one of the easiest applications to learn and is the most popular presentation graphics software used world-wide.

Some of you may have used PowerPoint for class projects. However, it is important that you work through the Learn section of this lesson since you will be creating a presentation in this lesson that includes transitions, images, and themes.

In this lesson, you will also begin your collaborative project. You will be working with other students throughout this unit to create a presentation on the History of the Internet.

 

 

Lesson Objectives

Following successful completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • create a presentation using presentation software.

The above objectives correspond with the Alabama Course of Study: Multimedia Design objective(s): 1, 3, 6.

This lesson incorporates the following Literacy Standards: R4, R7, W4.
