Evaluate key documents related to the U.S.-Soviet relations during the 1980s.
1) Go to the National Archive lesson entitled President Reagan and the Cold War: Vision and Diplomacy
2) Click the green button that says Start Activity.
3) Read the introduction and then click Start Activity.
4) Starting with the upper left box, examine the documents and photos and then answer the corresponding questions on 14.01 Reagan Foreign Policy. The documents begin with Reagan's "Evil Empire" speech and conclude with the treaty that limited Intermediate-Range Nuclear Missiles. The documents vary in length. A detailed reading of the longer documents is not necessary. Just read enough of the document to allow you to form an opinion about its tone, audience, and purpose.
5) Submit your completed work to 14.01 Reagan Foreign Policy Dropbox.
