Following successful completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Determine the German motivation for the annihilation of the Jews.
  • Examine the horrors of the Holocaust, including such events as Jewish relocation, death marches, and concentration camps.
  • Identify acts of resistance and rescue during the Holocaust.

The above objectives correspond with the Alabama Course of Study: US History 11 Objectives: 9.4.

This lesson incorporates the following Literacy Standards: R2, R3, R4, R7, R10, W1, W2, W3, W4, & W8.
