This lesson explores life on the frontier during the late 1800s. The two primary residents of the frontier during the period were the American settlers and the Native Americans. Using the resources provided within the lesson, compare and contrast the life experiences of the two groups. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. With that in mind, take some time and review the pictures provided at the links below. The pictures included in the links explore life on the plains for both American settlers and Native Americans. Notice the cultural differences and varying lifestyles reflected in the pictures. Though living in the same general area, the two groups were quite different in some ways and similar in others. As you analyze the photos, complete 1.02 Photo Analysis and submit it to 1.02 Photo Analysis Dropbox.
