What does that policy mean? A short version is

  1. ACCESS can and will monitor your online class, including your email and posts. Use these tools for your classwork, and you will be fine.
  2. Your parents or guardians must sign your school’s Acceptable Use Policy. This states that you are responsible for your actions on the internet. If you choose to go to YouTube and binge watch TV, ACCESS is not responsible.
  3. You will use ACCESS for classes – not to bully others.
  4. Don’t copy work from the internet. That’s plagiarism. If you use an online resource, be sure to cite it. We’ll talk about this more later.
  5. Don’t post your work to the internet for others to use and copy. This is against our Academic Integrity Policy and may also violate ACCESS copyright.

If you do not follow these policies, you may face disciplinary action by your school and / or ACCESS.

Be responsible – use ACCESS resources for ACCESS work, and you will be fine.
