Following successful completion of this lesson, students will be able to: Identifying mechanical, chemical and magnetic methods used to create an electric charge.

The picture of a plasma ball reminds us that electric charge will flow from areas of high charge to areas of low charge. In much the same way, water will flow from high pressure to low pressure. But what causes charge differences in objects and how do the charges move from place to place?
