Introduction
There are so many different types of chemical reactions! Rust forming on a metal, decomposition of a rotting log, digestion of food and even photosynthesis in plants are all different types of chemical reactions.
This lesson will serve to introduce you to some of the simple types of chemical reactions including combustion reactions. For a few more examples, check out these videos of some chemical reactions occurring:
- Copper penny and nitric acid (0:58)
- Sodium iodide and mercury (II) chloride (0:24)
- Electrolysis of silver nitrate (0:25)
