Introduction

Accidents happen in a split second. They are unplanned. Injury, illness, or even death can result. You may be talking and laughing while eating with friends. Suddenly, someone is choking. They have a completely blocked airway.

We sometimes go about our daily activities thinking, “I’ve got this.” We glance at our phone while driving. We may trip, fall, sprain an ankle, or burn ourselves doing everyday common tasks.
