Complete 2.04 Bill of Rights as you review the lesson. Submit your completed work to the 2.04 Bill of Rights Dropbox.

The Bill of Rights was written more than 200 years ago when our country was, in many ways, a very different place. Over time, the Constitution has been amended, or changed, and now includes a total of 27 amendments. But the original Bill of Rights has not changed.

  1. Post your response to the questions below to the 2.04 Demand Your Right Discussion. Be sure to answer thoughtfully in at least five to six sentences using material from the lesson to help support your answer.

    • If you could add one more amendment to the Bill of Rights, what would it be and why?

    • Be sure to explain the right or freedom your amendment would protect and why you believe it is important for Americans to have that right or freedom.

    • Use the background from your knowledge of this lesson to make your argument.

  2. Respond to the thoughts of one classmate's post with whom you agree in 2.04 Demand Your Right Discussion by writing at least two sentences explaining why you agree with his or her post. Be sure to share a reason for your support that is not mentioned in his or her post.
