Complete the 8.02 Volume and Stumpage Value assignment and submit it to the 8.02 Volume and Stumpage Value Dropbox.

Use the links from the lesson to complete your assignment:

You work at a local lumber yard and you have been asked to determine the prices of lumber per board foot based on a competitor's lumber prices. Based on your research, you decide to utilize a "big box hardware store" to compare the prices of your local lumber yards. Visit Lowe's online lumber yard to find the current prices of lumber. Once you open the link, select the appropriate lumber type.

Use the Board Foot Calculator and enter the data that you know for each different type and piece of lumber based on price, size, and treatment of the lumber.  You will first calculate the number of board feet in each piece of lumber by entering the size of the lumber piece.  Next, you will divide the competitor's price for a whole piece of lumber by the calculated number of board feet to determine the price per board foot of each piece of lumber.

Record your data in the 8.02 Board Foot Lab worksheet. When you are finished, submit your work to the 8.02 Board Foot Lab Dropbox.
