Introduction
The next division in British literature is the Romantic Period (1750 – 1837). Most of the ideals followed during this movement are in contrast to those of the previous periods. Romantic poets wrote more about nature and man’s relationship to it; they thought that nature was good and that science could not explain it. In this lesson, you will learn about the Romantic Period as well as some of the history surrounding the time period.
