5.02 Take Two

Task #1

Become a director! Choose any of the plays at the Reader's Theatre to use as you become the director and costume designer.

Once you have chosen the play you would like to direct, decide which of your favorite celebrities/actors/actresses will play each part so you can cast your play. Choose celebrities/actors/actresses who you think best fit each role based on talent, character type, physical attributes, and ability to fulfill the designated roles.

Create a character list in which you list ALL of the characters in your play and who will play each role. Open 5.02 Directing a Play to begin.

You will also be the costume designer for the same play. Think of the costumes, masks, headwear, makeup, etc. of each character in the production by drawing by hand or on the computer (or painting) each costume design. Choose the two most important characters to the overall production.

When you finish this assignment, submit your work to the 5.02 Directing a Play Dropbox.

In one paragraph, write a monologue that a character would say to another character beginning with your choice of one of the following lines: "How could you do this to me..."; "I have the best news..."; or "I have been waiting to tell you..."
