Introduction
Take a moment to think about your favorite song and its lyrics. You may already know this, but a great number of songs reflect the time period in which they are written. For example, had you lived during the 1960s, you might have heard songs about the Vietnam War, rebellion against the "Establishment", and, of course, songs about love that you hear in the music of every generation. In this lesson, you'll look at a poem from Napoleon's day.
