Introduction

Throughout this course, you will continue to analyze how a painting, a poem, or even a song can tell the story of history. Think about that the next time you listen to your favorite song, and consider if the lyrics are telling the story of our age, that is, talking about life during our time—that is history! Now, listen to The French Revolution (Bad Romance) as it tells the story of the French Revolution. Enjoy.

As you watch the two films, use Part 1 of 5.01 The End of the Old Regime to build your association chain (list of specific factual information—SFI) for the causes of the French Revolution. You will use the information you gather to complete the assessment for this lesson.
