Introduction

Think back to your very first unit in this world history course. You learned about the English monarchy when you studied about Henry VIII and his desire to have a male heir. His first three wives each gave him one child, and all three would reign for a period of time. The greatest of these was Elizabeth I, daughter of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn.

In this lesson, we will further explore her reign and the reign of those who followed her.
