Introduction

A company's mission statement is similar to a personal mission statement in that it is a brief statement of the purpose of the organization. Your school has a school mission statement, as well as your school system has a mission statement. It states the purpose of the school and the school system. Ask your teacher or facilitator to see if he/she can find a copy of either mission statement.

Here are a few of the mission statements of some of the most popular corporations in the United States. Their mission statements speak to the identity of the company. A good mission statement will clearly tell the public what to expect from them.
